Hello, everybody, this is calling from remote do we publish remote letter. And today I just wanted to make a short review video an introduction to freelance notion. It is a freelance operating system Freelancer operating system made by Natalie furnace. And it’s really a great tool. It’s targeted for freelancers, but honestly, after doing my review, I think there’s a little bit for everyone, whether you’re a solopreneur, entrepreneur, solo founder, you know, if you’re just a creator, a maker, I mean, there’s, there’s something for everyone in this. And so I wanted to take you through that today and just show it to you give you you know, kind of an inside look at it, if you’re if you’re thinking of buying it, I highly recommend it. So one thing I need to do before we get started is to mention that in order to use this in order to utilize this, it’s it’s a it’s a operating system dashboard. And it’s it lives with inside of a notion, okay, notion. So it’s a, if you’re not familiar with notion, I highly recommend that as well as a tool to use. And I think maybe I will do a review video of that at another point in time. But let me just show you not to worry about that. So you will need an ocean account, but they have a very generous free personal account, that’s all you’re going to need you can sign up doesn’t cost you anything, you’ll need that before you can make use of the freelancer operating system. So just important to make note of that. So let’s get into this. This is what it looks like once it’s been downloaded. The way it works is once you purchase it, you can make a duplicate copy of it into your notion account. And then once it’s in an ocean account, it’s completely private, you can change it, add to it, do whatever you want with it, no one’s gonna see that. So you don’t have to worry about any privacy issues or anything like that. So yeah, let’s just get into it. So this is what it looks like. This is the kind of first page dashboard page where it’s got links to everything that you’re going to need. There’s a read, I won’t go into the details of how to use motion. But I will put a link in below the video here. So you can see some resources where you can learn the basics. But just to let you know, notion is very intuitive, intuitive, easy to use right out of the box. So it’s pretty simple. Things like this, where you can click on will just open another page. And you know, this takes you through everything you need to know to get started. There’s toggles that you can open and expand content. Okay or close content. But this is kind of what you’re going to be looking at, I would recommend going through the the read first section here, it really gives you some idea on how to use this dashboard probably does a better job of explaining it that me so highly recommend you go through this. I’ll also link to Natalie’s introduction to the freelancer operating system, she does a really good job of explaining that, again, probably better than me. But you know, this isn’t about that necessarily. It’s to show you this video is to show you introduce you to the dashboard and give you kind of my honest opinion and review. But I’ll just go over some of the highlights. So you can get into this first read through and learn how to get started with using the dashboard, then you can jump right into the first chapter. I’m just going to go back out to the dashboard for a second so I can show you. You can also access the chapters here. And then they she’s put in some quick links to some of the more important chapters. So if you open the toggle button here, you’ll see all of the chapters and this covers, you know a warm welcome to the platform. Is freelancing right for you. So again, this is all about getting started as a freelancer but it also gets into if you’re already a freelancer, this is going to you know, give you some more insights and more tools, more resources and to make you a better freelancer. So, but I do really think that this would be valuable to anybody who’s running their own business. Any type of remote worker, there’s a lot of a lot of value in here that can be used for all. So don’t let the title fool you. I think this is good value for any any independent worker. But yeah, so this is goes through all the different chapters, you can see here, how to attract customers how to price yourself, right? How to negotiate. It goes through all those chapters, and then you’ve got the Quickstart that jumps into it gives you two or three chapters. So this one is quick access to getting started. And then quick access to finding clients. And quick access to growing your revenue. So it’s talking a little bit more about the marketing upselling. This in and of itself is I think we’re the most meat of the entire tool is so highly recommend that if you do purchase Freelancer operating system, that you go through this, this is where all the gold insights are. So after you’ve done done that there’s she does point to some resources. And those resources are also linked to within the document here within the different chapters. But the next, I guess, the next piece of this next most important thing is she’s created. Again, if you’re not familiar with notion, notion allows you to create notes, take notes, document things, but it also allows you to create databases, multiple databases and tie those databases together through relations. So I won’t get too much into that. But she’s created a really nice, she’s done the work for you. So you don’t need to create the database from scratch sheet, this is part of the part of the package. And this one provides a view it’s more like a combat view. So when you add a task, let’s just say I’m going to add a task here. Call Natalie. Okay, is one of my tax tasks here. Once I’ve done that, I can move it over to to do just like a combat board, you can move it over to being done, and so on and so forth. She’s already created that for you. So all you have to do then is just go in and add your data. If you don’t like looking at things in a combat view, there are other views you can look at. Here’s a table view, that gives you more kind of that database, almost Excel spreadsheet look. And yeah, you can just add a new task. task to and yeah, I didn’t even spell that right, but doesn’t matter. Yeah, and set your date, you can set the date here, you can set up a reminder, when you want to be reminded of that. And yeah, it automatically shows you the date that you created, it shows you the date that the actual task is due. And then you can go here to relate that to another database, which is your contact CRM. So we’ll go take a look at that right now. So just going back out to the dashboard, and look at the contact CRM, which is another database, and this one is set up in a database view. So you can you know, anybody who’s either a remote worker, or freelance or even a remote employee has either managers or or if you’re freelance or you have clients, you need to keep track of that information. This is a handy tool to do. So it’s your contact CRM, just what exactly what it says. So you can put in first name, last name, with a Twitter handle that email just everything that you need to have recorded for that client, or that manager or whatever it is. And you can set your own statuses here. So I’ll just give you an idea of the different statuses that you can add. And she’s already pre populated this. And all you have to do is select, select one thing, and you’re done. And again, you can add a business name, the website, you can add what services which are already pre populated here. Okay, really easy when you when you do get to understand how to use notion. If you need to add more items, you can simply go in, configure this and add a new one. I’ll just call it phone call or something like that. And you create a phone call and then that’s added to your list. So now when you’ve got something here, you can just go and pick phone call. So you’re just basically tagging it. You can also attach documents, maybe relevant documents to the project you’re working on and these are ways that you can link to other databases as well, that she’s already pre created for you. So that is kind of just a quick review of two of the main databases that she’s created here. There’s also marketing channels, I’ll talk about that in a minute. You’ve also got an area here for creating and leaving notes, which you then can assign to different projects or tasks. And there’s a database of some sample contracts and sample templates that she’s provided here. So, for instance, a client invoice template will link out to a Google doc and she’s got a template here already set up for you to use for your business. A couple other ones as consulting one, subcontracts in here, and business proposals. So if you actually click on this, here, it’ll take you to a sample PDF of one of her marketing companies proposal. So you can have a look at that, and maybe, you know, borrow from it, or, you know, use it as a reference for building your own. Okay, so, go back out to the dashboard here. The last thing I want to kind of go over, well, two more things, is a very valuable resource. And that’s a list of tools for freelancers, if you click on this link, it will take you out to air table database. And as you can see, here, there is a ton of resources. I’m a huge fan of databases of resources like this. So I think they’re super valuable. All the works been done for you to find all of these tools. And as you can see, there’s just a ton of them here, it’s taking a little bit time to load the images. But everything here is just a ton of stuff. So great resource. And that’s included in Freelancer operating system. So one last thing, they she’s also put in here, weekly planner. This is good. If, if you know how to use it notion, it’s really easy to add items to this, you just basically click into a field, you can change that into a to do list, which gives you a little little checkbox, and then just add whatever you’re working on that day. So review video, right is what I’m doing right now. Okay, when you get that work done, you can click it to show that it’s been done. And then when you want to remove it from the dashboard, you just go and delete it. Okay. So I think this is a really good tool, I think 80% of the value is what’s in here. If you’re a non notion, user, or first time notion user, a lot of the value is also in the databases that she’s created here, because it takes that work away from you. And all you have to do is add your data to the spreadsheet to the database. And it’s, it’s all set up for you. So I think that’s really great. And, of course, the resources are invaluable, in my opinion. It’s just nice and handy. And if you notice here, this will be updated on a monthly basis. So she’ll be updating that air table. database, you don’t need to have an air table account. In order to seek to do that, I just thought I’d mention that. But she’ll be constantly adding new resources, she’s also been very kind enough to leave a link here for you to submit your own. Okay, so all of what I’ve talked about so far is just kind of giving you a really quick overview of what is included in here. And where I think the most value is what I would say could be improved on this because I do want to make sure that you understand that I’m doing This review for you. There’s a few things that I think could be improved, just because of my experience with notion and understanding how the relations of relation databases work. The weekly planner, for example, what I’d like to see, and I know this can be done in notion is that when I enter a task in the to do list right here, so let’s say I’m going to add a new task, and I’m going to say review video. Review freelancer. Oh, S. Okay. If I say that, and I say that it’s a to do. And I say that that’s due in on the 13th, which I will say it on the Monday, the 15th. And I want to put that in as a reminder. And then let’s just, I’ll tag this to Natalie, for now. So I’ve entered that into the database, what I think I would like to see is that that automatically puts a put something in the calendar here. I think that would be beneficial, I wouldn’t I wouldn’t, I don’t like having to this is I like things to be automated. That’s my personal preference. So when I’m entering data once, I’d like to see it show up everywhere. And so I think and I know that it can be done that when you’re adding a task to a task database that something like this, which is could be a weekly calendar, as opposed to a weekly, or weekly planner calendar would actually update with that task somewhere in here. So like I said, it was on the Monday, it should show up as a task here. That’s just my personal preference as far as automating things. So maybe that’s something that Natalie will look to out in the future. One other point that I noticed as I was going through this, like I said, a lot of the value and everything is within the chapters here. But what I did, kind of find fall flat was, and let me just give you a quick example. So marketing channel strategy happens to be under finding clients. So it’s under attracting customers here. And you see how these windows open up small, you can open that up as a full page if you like. You can also make that full width if you want to see that content to be a little bit bigger. But my point was within this and this is full of information. There’s boxes here with more descriptive information on what to do what it is what to do. And I find that this database here. So we were just we were just looking at one part of that which was well, I think speaking engagements. So when I when I look at this database, and I see that this is speaking engagements, it tells me what status out a ring in the in her chapter goes into explaining all this, what I’d like to see is when I open that up, I’d like to see some information in here, for example, it’s good to go back to the chapter, right? She’s done a really good job of putting the information in here. And let’s look for speaking engagements, for example. So here, if you toggle this down, there’s some information here, what I would have liked to see would be to see that that information is added added into the database here. So if we look at speaker engagements on this page, I like to see that information here for quick reference, right? So I don’t want to have to always go into the chapter to you know, maybe I’m working on my business and at that point I’m looking at, okay, what’s my next strategy that I’d like to test and I want to go as a reminder of speaking engagements, I just want to be able to open that up and see that information on kind of what to do, right there as opposed to, you know, having to go back into the chapters here and try to sort and find it and, and yeah, search for it. So just again, maybe a personal preference. But other than those two kind of improvements, I say I would say that this is a great tool, a great tool for freelancers, obviously, but a great tool for anyone starting a business anyone that’s working as a sole entrepreneur, remote worker of some sort. But one thing I want to point out, if you are seriously considering this, and you want to go and purchase it, I would suggest that you do so fairly urgently. If you notice her payment, pricing goes up for every 20 copies of the dashboard that are sold. So if you get on it today, you might even be able to grab it for this price if this price is still available, but you’ll notice that the price increases for every 20 sold up to it looks like 74 pounds, not sure what that would convert to dollars. But yeah, I would just say, you know, get on it right away if you can get it at the cheapest price that you can. I think it’s well worth the full price, but you might as well save yourself some dollars if you can, by getting it now. So I hope this video was useful to you. I hope it did a good enough job of kind of giving you an overview and an honest opinion and review what I liked about it, what I didn’t like about it. So that’s all for me.
